Sophia is a new doctoral student in Walden’s Public Health program. With an undergraduate degree in Public Health, an MBA and managerial experience in a hospital, she sought Career Services assistance with editing her resume with the goal of obtaining an internship in the public health field. We collaborated to strengthen her resume by highlighting key accomplishments and tailoring her Career Summary to the type of position she desired.

Within several weeks of finishing her resume, Sophia was pleased to report she obtained a public health internship with her state’s department of health where she’ll be working on the state’s health improvement plan. The hiring manager specifically commented on how impressed she was with her resume. Sophia’s dedication to developing a strong, tailored resume was key to her success. We look forward to hearing how her new position evolves.
